“J”

This font, used on all RNZAF aircraft, was designed by my father. It’s called Univers J.

A close-up view of a section of an aircraft's exterior. The surface is smooth and painted grey with a glossy finish, reflecting some light and faint shapes. There are four small, rounded rectangular windows aligned horizontally near the top of the image, but they are, but blanked-out. Below the windows, large black alphanumeric characters read "NZ7572." Near the bottom of the image, two thin, parallel dark blue stripes run horizontally across the aircraft's body. The rivets and panel lines of the airplane's metal skin are visible, giving texture to the surface. The overall impression is of a clean, well-maintained aircraft.
