I was standing close to sea level. Those peaks are around 1500m high. The Kaikōura coast is breathtaking.

A small town street with parked cars along both sides, leading towards a bridge in the background which crosses over the road. On the right side, there are shops with signs, including one for a tavern advertising live music and a beer garden, and another called "global culture." The buildings have a modern, simple design with a blue roof and white walls. The street is quiet, with no visible pedestrians. In the distance, there are tall, snow-capped mountains under a cloudy sky, creating a dramatic backdrop. The overall atmosphere is calm and scenic, with a mix of urban and natural elements.
