Marriage

Yup… the Ehekarussell fountain in Nuremberg represents (the sculptor’s view of) the circle of marriage.

A dramatic and intricate sculpture depicting a chaotic scene with several figures intertwined. The central figure appears to be a skeletal or zombie-like creature with exaggerated features, including bulging eyes and a wide-open mouth. This figure is holding another figure upside down, which also has a grotesque appearance. The sculpture has a textured surface with various patterns and details. In the background, there is a building with a sign that reads "Sündermann kleidet Männer," and there are people walking along the street. Flags are visible, and the architecture suggests an urban setting.
