Jewel

The world’s tallest indoor waterfall is the centrepiece of the magnificent Jewel shopping centre at Changi Airport, Singapore.

The scene is looking across the centre of a circular space. The roof is a metal lattice that dips down in the centre and the panels are glass. A blue sky with some fluffy white clouds is visible above. Down both sides and in the rear are lush, dense plantings that all but mask the actual walls, creating a sea of greenery that dominate the scene. At the centre of the roof there is a large hole and water cascades through it into a larger hole at the bottom. The fall of water is several stories tall. At the lower level is a paved area with lots of people, and there are escalators descending from there. Just above the paved area, about level with the photographer, is a monorail. A train is traversing this raised track through the space. Further up is a suspended walkway. The middle of the walkway is glass panels. A few people are on this section looking at the waterfall.
