Today’s on-this-day photo comes from 2006 and was taken at Ardmore.
It shows the MiG-21MF, “8008” sitting outside a hangar. I don’t believe this airframe ever flew in New Zealand. Certainly not too long after this was taken, it ended up mounted on the roof of a building in South Auckland.
