Today’s on-this-day photo has been ‘borrowed forward’ from 14th November, 2004.

Once a common sight at many New Zealand airports, the Saab 340A fleet of Air Nelson/Air New Zealand Link are but a distant memory now. Here’s ZK-NSK approaching the hold point for RWY16 at Wellington.

The aircraft is seen from slightly above, about to taxi past the photographer. It is white with teal and blue fine. In the background is the airfield grass and runway. The light is dull.
